Human Compass

The name 'Human Compass' came from a long process of development- both theatrically, personally, and of the company.

When it was a student company it was called simply 'Compass Productions' (not to be confused with Compass in Sheffield!), as the work I was doing was about finding the way forward for myself, through life, finding out what I wanted to do...

Through my university career I began to take an interest in people, community and what it meant to be 'human'...

As my personal ideas progressed, so did the work I was producing- in to broader themes, exploring issues, critical times in history, the lives of 'famous faces' - all with one thing in common, people, and their stories, were at the centre.

The name 'Human Compass', reflects my ideas about what the company should be and what we should be doing...
